(The Post News)– A 28-year-old man, accused of threatening President Cyril Ramaphosa, Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis, and the Chief Executive Officer of a Cape Town-based company, is expected to appear before the Cape Town magistrate court today.
According to the Hawks head, Lieutenant General Godfrey Lebeya, this man was reported on Monday, 12 May, and the investigation revealed that the men did not only threaten Ramaphosa, the Cape Town mayor, and the CEO of a company based in Cape Town but also threatened a president of another country, which he says he cannot reveal at this stage.
Nonetheless, Lebeya noted that the court may probe the man’s mental state, given the unusual messages received during the investigation. He revealed that the man claims to own half of Cape Town.
He further says the investigation’s findings will determine the number of courts the man will face. He says the initial charges include contravention of the Cybercrime Act and intimidation.
