(The Post News)– Police have made a breakthrough in the murder investigation of 30-year-old Olorato Mongale, who was found murdered earlier this week.
Mongale was picked up from her home in Athol on Sunday by a man named Joh”n, whom she had recently met for a date. Later that day, Mongale’s body was found abandoned in Lombardy outside Alexandra, northern Joburg.
The white VW Polo allegedly used in the crime was found at a panel beater workshop in Phoenix, Durban, with visible traces of blood inside. According to police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, an elderly man—believed to be the vehicle’s owner—has been taken into custody.
Police are now searching for Fezile Ngubane, Philangenkosi Sibongokuhle Makhanya, and Bongani Mthimkhulu, the three suspects believed to be directly involved in Mongale’s murder. Additionally, the police have urged the public to help circulate the suspects’ photos to aid in their swift arrest.
