(The Post News)- Lewis Hamilton has brushed off ongoing speculation about tension with Ferrari race engineer Riccardo Adami, describing their relationship as strong and collaborative despite recent radio incidents.
The seven-time world champion, who joined Ferrari this season from Mercedes, raised eyebrows with terse radio exchanges during his debut in Australia and again in Monaco. After not receiving a response from Adami mid-race, Hamilton was heard asking, “Are you upset with me?”
Ferrari attributed the silence to signal issues, especially through Monaco’s tunnel. “It was literally just radio problems. I didn’t get the information I wanted, but we spoke afterwards,” Hamilton clarified during a media briefing at the Spanish Grand Prix.
He dismissed media speculation as “BS,” adding, “We have a great relationship. He’s amazing to work with. We don’t always get it right, but we work through it. We both want to win a world championship together.”
Hamilton emphasized that both he and Adami are still learning how best to collaborate, noting Adami’s experience with former champions like Sebastian Vettel and Carlos Sainz.
Though Hamilton hasn’t reached the podium this season, aside from a sprint win in Shanghai, he remains focused. “It’s just all noise. We’re not paying attention to it.”
