
(The Post News)- SPARK Schools has confirmed that a serious incident involving suspected malicious tampering with communal food items recently took place at its central Support Office in Rosebank. The school group says the matter is being treated with the utmost seriousness, and steps were immediately taken to address the situation.
According to SPARK Schools, an internal investigation was promptly launched following the discovery, and the incident was formally reported to the South African Police Service (SAPS). The police are now actively investigating the matter.
“To preserve the integrity of the investigation, we are unable to disclose further details at this time,” the organization said in a statement.
The suspected tampering was confined to the Support Office, which functions separately from the network of schools operated by SPARK. Importantly, the organization confirmed that no scholars were affected by the incident.
SPARK Schools also assured the public and stakeholders that it is working closely with authorities and remains committed to full cooperation throughout the investigation.
