In an increasing escalation of the ongoing feud between tech billionaire Elon Musk and former U.S. President Donald Trump, Musk has publicly accused Trump of being implicated in the notorious Jeffrey Epstein files.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO took to X (formerly Twitter) late Tuesday night, posting:
“Time to drop the really big bomb: [Trump] is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public.”
Minutes later, Musk added:
“Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”
The “Epstein files” refer to sealed documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier accused of trafficking minors and connected to numerous powerful public figures.
During a press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the White House Trump took a moment to address the bill. Stating he is “very disappointed in Elon” and “surprised” by his remarks. He accused Musk of having “Trump Derangement Syndrome”. ” Reflecting on their strained dynamic, Trump added:
“Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we will anymore.”
