KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi addressed the media on a Sunday press conference, implicating Mchunu in interfering with police investigations involving political killings and organized drug syndicated. However, Mchunu maintains that he has never met with the businessman Matlala.
In the meantime, Matlala remains in custody, facing accusations linked to the attempted shooting of actress Tebogo Thobejane, Matlala’s former lover.
