The SPAR Baby Proteas are ready to take on the world at the 2025 Netball Youth World Cup in Gibraltar.
(The Post News)- South Africa’s under-21 netball team, the SPAR Baby Proteas, have announced their squad for the 2025 Netball Youth World Cup, set to take place in Gibraltar from 19–25 September.
Under the guidance of coach Precious Mthembu, the team heads into the global tournament with strong momentum. They remained unbeaten in the African qualifiers and recently dominated a series against Jamaica’s U21 side, clear signs of their readiness.

Captain Phophi Nematangari will lead a group of exciting young players determined to uphold the country’s proud netball tradition on the world stage.
