(The Post News)– The final leg of the popular SPAR Women’s Challenge Grand Prix series is back in Johannesburg, and it’s set to be bigger, bolder, and even more inspiring. Entries for the 2025 SPAR Women’s Challenge Jozi are now open, with thousands of women preparing to hit the streets of Emmarentia on Sunday, 5 October.
Defending champion Glenrose Xaba has confirmed she’ll return to defend her title after claiming both the overall Grand Prix and Jozi 10km win last year.
Hosted at Marks Park Sports Club, the race is part of the beloved My Jozi My SPAR campaign, and this year’s theme, #Twenty20Thrive, celebrates women pushing forward, whether in careers, health, or daily life. And there’s more than just medals up for grabs: one lucky entrant will drive off in a brand-new Hyundai Exter! Entries cost R180 (5 km/10 km) and R240 with a temporary ASA license. Each entry includes a new official t-shirt, race number, and race magazine.
Funds raised support causes including breast cancer care, ending period poverty, and youth wellness. Whether you’re sprinting or strolling, this event is about community, strength, and celebrating every woman’s journey. Let’s thrive, Jozi.
