(The Post News)– It is official; LIV Golf is coming to South Africa. The global golf phenomenon will tee off at the luxurious Steyn City in Johannesburg in March 2026, marking the first time the event hits African soil.
Louis Oosthuizen, part of the all-South African Stinger GC team, couldn’t hide his excitement in a recent chat with Michael Sherman on YouTube. He shared how long the team has been hoping for a local leg, saying it feels almost unreal that it’s finally happening after talks dating back to 2023.
But it’s not just about the big names and bold shots. Oosthuizen believes LIV Golf has the potential to change the face of the game in South Africa. He explained how the tour attracts younger fans and non-golfers alike, making golf feel more inclusive and accessible.
With teammates Charl Schwartzel, Dean Burmester, and Brandon Grace alongside him, Oosthuizen is ready to deliver something unforgettable.
