(The Post News)– Naomi Osaka has confirmed that her coaching relationship with Patrick Mouratoglou has officially ended, just under a year since it began.
The former world No. 1, who has four Grand Slam titles to her name, took to social media to share the news. She thanked Mouratoglou for the time they worked together, saying it was a valuable learning experience.
The pair joined forces in September 2023, not long after Osaka made her return to tennis following the birth of her daughter. Mouratoglou, widely known for his long stint coaching Serena Williams, brought years of high-level experience to the team.
But Osaka has struggled to find her footing since rejoining the tour. Her comeback has been marked by early exits, most recently in the first round of the French Open and the third round at Wimbledon. She currently sits at No. 49 in the world rankings.
The 26-year-old star hasn’t said who she plans to work with next, but fans remain hopeful that her best tennis is still ahead.
