(The Post News)– Fans are once again attached to their screens and overflowing the socials with hot takes courtesy of season 10 of Big Brother Naija’s anticipated surprises, a cast full of personalities, and a daring new house design. As expected, the official start of the 10/10 season has already caused the most disruption possible.
While the fans have witnessed housemates getting to know each other in groups and in pairs, they have also witnessed altercations between the housemates. Sultana and Ivatar were the first to clash about Ivatar walking on a freshly mopped floor, followed by Kaybobo and Koyin, who got into a food-serving disagreement. The situation between Kaybobo and Koyin quickly exploded into a full-fledged verbal brawl, with voices rising and emotions boiling and tears shedding.
Big Brother has called the housemates into the Diary Room, where they cried, laughed, and spoke about their first few days with their fellow housemates. The housemates, thrilled about their first one-on-one sessions with Biggie, discussed how they plan on coexisting with one another, adjusting to their new environment, and settling in a house governed by maximum pressure.
Additionally, Big Brother keeps the housemates busy with wager tasks, arena games, and many other activities. The house fumbled its first wager task, but Joanna represented the girls well by defeating Kuture in a close finish and winning the season’s first arena games. For their wager task, the housemates were challenged to create a ball-themed presentation full of style, elegance, and storytelling. However, the presentation turned into a wild and confusing combination of music and dance, which left Biggie displeased and puzzled. Big Brother was noticeably unmoved, particularly with their casual representation of mental health, claiming that they portrayed a serious matter like a joke. According to Big Brother, the first presentation was confusing, while the second one was a “total disaster.” Thus, the first wager was declared a loss.
The housemates enjoyed their first pool party. However, the house went from 0 to 100 after the party, as it became completely chaotic. A house-wide altercation, which included Denari, Victory, Jason Jae, Rooboy, Mensan, and Thelma Lawson, emerged as Otega yelled over a plate of grilled chicken.
Though it is still early in the season, the fans already believe that there are some ships already brewing. Meanwhile, some of the housemates are becoming early favorites. Alliances have been formed inside the house; however, it is outside on social media where actual fights are being fought. Once more, social media has become BBN’s unofficial second house—fans are creating full-fledged campaigns for their faves, deciphering every move, and live-commenting.
