(The Post News)– Delhi is experiencing intense rainfall, with several areas such as Vasant Kunj, R.K. Puram, Connaught Place, and Minto Bridge witnessing heavy showers. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by rain for Saturday, and the continuous downpour since early morning has already led to waterlogging at Panchkuian Marg.
The IMD has also issued alerts for other regions, predicting heavy rain in many parts of Himachal Pradesh over the next few days. Specifically, three districts in the state are under an Orange Alert for August 11 and 12, while the remaining districts are under a Yellow Alert. Furthermore, a heavy rainfall alert has been issued for three districts in Telangana: Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, and Jogulamba Gadwal, where isolated heavy rainfall is expected.
In Delhi, the Yamuna River has reached a level of 204.40 meters at the Old Railway Bridge, which is nearing the warning level of 204.50 meters. As a result, authorities are closely monitoring the situation. According to the flood control department, Wazirabad is releasing around 30,800 cusecs of water, while the Wazirabad barrage is releasing approximately 25,000 cusecs of water every hour.
