(The Post News)- Acting Police Minister Firoz Cachalia has vowed that police will not rest until the suspect responsible for killing two police officers is apprehended. The minister’s pledge comes as authorities launch an intensive manhunt for the escapee, known only as Moyo.
In a statement, Cachalia said that officers are “working around the clock” to find the suspect and that he has full confidence in their ability to do so swiftly. “The killing of our officers will not go unpunished,” he said. “This individual is a threat to public safety, and we are dedicating every available resource to ensure he is brought to justice.”
Moyo, who was appearing on charges of armed business robbery, managed to kill the two officers guarding him. After the shocking escape, he stole their firearms before fleeing in a police vehicle. The vehicle was later discovered abandoned, but Moyo remains at large and is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward immediately. The stolen service weapons pose a significant risk to the community, making his capture the top priority for law enforcement.
