Orlando Pirates hosted Mamelodi Sundowns at at Orlando Stadium
(The Post News)– Orlando Pirates hosted Mamelodi Sundowns at at Orlando Stadium for the MTN-8 Quarter-Final first leg on Saturday. Both the teams had a rough start of the 2025/25 South African, Premier Soccer League (PSL).
Sundowns grabbed an early lead of the game with a brilliant header from Teboho Mokwena. At 36 minutes of the game, with a corner taken by Marcello Allende.
The first half saw Masandawana dominating play and attacking. However, the injury of Themba Zwane costed them. When he got injured in the opening 15 minutes.
Pirates managed to bounce back in the second half of the game. Kamogelo Sebelele got a moment of brilliance, with a grass cutter ball to beat Sundowns backline and Ronwen Williams.
