(The Post News) – A three-month-old baby dies in a gang-related shooting in Bonteheuwel, leaving the community reeling early this morning.
Two armed individuals stormed a home on Yellowwood Street and opened fire in one of the rooms. Consequently, they targeted a woman holding the baby. After firing several rounds, the suspects fled immediately.
Meanwhile, residents rushed the injured infant to Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital. Medical staff worked urgently to save the baby, but the child succumbed to injuries from the shooting.
