(The Post News)- On Monday, 25 August 2025, Israel launched an attack on Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza, leaving at least 20 people dead, including five journalists who work with Reuters, the Associated Press, Al Jazeera, and other outlets.
According to Palestinian health officials, cameraman Hussam al-Masri, a Reuters contractor, was killed in the first strike while working near a Reuters live broadcast position on the upper floor just below the hospital roof in Khan Younis. Hospital officials and witnesses reported that Israel carried out a second strike on the same location, which killed additional journalists along with rescue workers and medical staff who had arrived to provide assistance.
