Although that attempt didn’t succeed, he soon expressed his admiration for Swift on his podcast, New Heights, openly discussing his interest in her and setting the stage for their eventual romance.
Swift and Kelce recently appeared together on New Heights to announce Swift’s upcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl an announcement that many fans correctly guessed would precede their engagement.
That episode quickly shattered records, with Guinness World Records confirming on Tuesday that it drew the highest number of concurrent viewers for a podcast on YouTube. Approximately 1.3 million people tuned in at the same time when the episode premiered on August 13. By Tuesday, total views had surged to 20 million.

Speculation intensified last month when social media users circulated photos that appeared to show Kelce’s phone lock screen displaying an image of the couple—Swift prominently holding out her hand as if to hint at a ring.
The NFL congratulated the couple with a celebratory post, while Brittany Mahomes expressed her excitement in an Instagram Story, calling Swift and Kelce “two of the most genuine people.”
