(The Post News) – Former Big Brother Mzansi (BBM) stars Thato Immaculate Mokoena-Mthombeni and Gash1 (born Gershwin Mthombeni) have officially welcomed their first child together. The season three housemates, who found love inside the reality TV house, took to social media to share the joyful news with their fans.
In a video posted on Instagram on August 31, Thato is seen holding a baby bottle—hinting at the big announcement—while Gash1 confirmed the arrival of their bundle of joy in the caption: “Our gift from God has finally arrived. Glory to Jesus. I love you, my Dime @callherthato. This new chapter of our love story has been IMMACULATE.”
Thato quickly replied in the comments, writing, “I love you more than you know. I love our family. God has been so good to us. #MomAndDad.”
The fan-favorite couple was soon flooded with congratulatory messages from friends, celebrities, and their loyal supporters who have followed their journey since the BBM house.
Finding Love in the BBM House
Mzansi got a taste of the couple as individuals in 2022 during BBM season three. Thato was the lovable, energetic housemate known for her fantastic dance moves, often lighting up every Saturday night house party. Gash1, on the other hand, finished as the season’s second runner-up to winner Mpho WaBadimo. He became known as the calm gentleman of the house, often dressed in sharp three-piece suits that set him apart from the rest of the contestants.
As the weeks went on, viewers began to notice their growing closeness. Soon after leaving the show, the pair confirmed that they were officially in a relationship, much to the delight of their fans. Fast forward two years later, the couple announced that Gash1 had put a ring on it, and now they have elevated their relationship once more—from life partners to proud parents.
