(The Post News) – Coach Hansi Flick recently warned about egos in the team, but Barcelona’s Pedri Gonzalez has downplayed this and insisted on teamwork and unity. He concurred that a sense of unity should be among them.
Coach Flick’s comment is that egos kill success. He further continued to resonate around Barcelona following the team’s performance in Vallecas. When Barcelona drew 1-1 with Rayo Vallecano, on a post-match interview he stated, “last year we were a team and we must keep it like that.”
The La Liga defending champions coach’s blunt assessment surprised several players. Prompting speculation over whom his words might have been directed at.
Asked for his response during Spain’s national team camp by reporters. Pedri Gonzalez avoided controversy but addressed the subject directly. “I do not know who Flick was referring to, I suppose he will tell us when we return from the break,” said the Barcelona midfielder.
