(The Post News) – A 41-year-old man accused of a string of violent crimes, including rape, kidnapping, robbery, and assault, is set to appear before the Protea Magistrate’s Court in Soweto on Monday morning.
The suspect was arrested in Diepkloof on Wednesday, 10 September, following an investigation into a series of cases spanning nearly two decades. According to police, the alleged crimes were committed between 2008 and 2025 in Diepkloof, Orlando, and parts of the North West Province.
“The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) units, from the National Head Office, Provincial FCS, and Orlando FCS, worked tirelessly over the years to trace this suspect. Their dedication has finally brought us to this point,” Sibeko said.
Police reports indicate that the accused allegedly targeted women aged between 14 and 55. He is said to have used a firearm or knife to threaten his victims, often concealing his identity with a balaclava or mask.
