(The Post News) – Congratulations are in order for Real Housewives of Durban star Londie London, who announced on September 15 that she is expanding her hair empire with the launch of a brand-new salon.
The owner of Londie London Braiding Hair took to Instagram to announce she is making “big girl moves only” with the opening of a new salon at Bryanston Shopping Centre in Johannesburg.
Friend and fellow housewife Jojo Robinson was one of many to congratulate her, commenting, “Congratulations ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.” This “big girl move” follows another made two years ago, when Londie revealed her collaboration with AFROTEX to release a line of braiding hair. The packs, which come in a wide range of colors, are known for having the longest lengths in Africa.
For Londie, the three-year collaboration was a natural fit as an African woman who grew up having her hair braided. She explained, “We are in the Black woman era where we have to love and embrace ourselves. Nothing is as alluring as that; hence, embracing this new venture was no cream puff.”
The singer-turned-reality star has frequently made headlines, whether for her romantic life or her recent altercation with Gagasi FM’s Minnie Ntuli, who poked her forehead during a heated exchange. Londie has since filed a lawsuit against Ntuli, earning widespread praise from viewers for handling the situation with composure.
Despite the drama, Londie remains focused on inspiring young women. Reflecting on her journey, she said, “Life has thrown so much at me, but I always come out stronger.”
