(The Post News) – Following her husband’s fatal shooting, Erika Kirk was elected on September 18 as the new CEO of Turning Point USA, the conservative organisation founded by late republican activist Charlie Kirk.
The 36-year-old widow, who hosts the devotional podcast “Midweek Rise Up”, describes herself as a devout Christian and social entrepreneur. In a resurfaced clip from “The Charlie Kirk Show”, the couple joked about their political leanings, with the late Trump ally emphasising “By far, not even close, I am a moderate compared to Erika”.
Proud Christian Conservative Erika Kirk
Erika Kirk, maiden name Frantzve, is a woman who believes in traditional Christian values. She is a ministry leader who holds a doctorate in biblical studies from Liberty University and also runs numerous faith-based entrepreneurship ventures, such as her podcast and a faith-based clothing line, PROCLAIM.
She married the outspoken activist in 2021, and the couple welcomed a daughter in 2022 and a son in 2024. She would often share images of her family to her 6.2 million Instagram followers alongside loving messages and scriptures.
Before marriage, Erika studied political science and international relations at Arizona State University, the city where she was born and grew up. She played collegiate basketball for Colorado based Regis University before becoming a model and Miss Arizona in 2012.
In her first address after Charlie’s murder Erika vowed to continue her husband’s work. Standing with a pulpit beside the empty chair once occupied by her husband on his show, she said, “If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea.”.
Charlie Kirk was assassinated in what authorities believe was a politically motivated act of violence. The arrested shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, came from a Republican, gun-owning family. Relatives say he had recently become increasingly consumed by politics and had once said that “Kirk was full of hate and spreading hate.”.
