(The Post News)- Police reported that three men have been gunned down in Nyanga on the Cape Flats on Friday, 20 September 2025.
According to police spokesperson Captain Frederick van Wyk, the shootings unfolded near the corner of Klipfontein and Borcherds Quarry roads in Lusaka, Nyanga. Officers who responded to reports of gunfire discovered three bodies at different scenes, just few meter apart.
“Crime scene experts are combing crime scenes where three men were shot and killed in Lusaka, Nyanga on Friday afternoon,” said Van Wyk.
Two other men have been wounded in the attack and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Van Wyk confirmed that the deceased were aged 19, 31 and 44, but their identities are yet to be released. “Police have registered three counts of murder and two attempted murders. The motive for the shooting is the subject of the police investigation, which is currently handled by the provincial serious and violent crime detectives,” he said.
