(The Post News)– In keeping with their stellar season, which includes a Champions League triumph and another Ligue 1 crown, PSG ruled the rankings of the top 10 at the Ballon d’Or, featuring the following five players on the list.
The top 10 also included Dembélé, Vitinha, Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, and Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is currently with Manchester City.
Outside of PSG, Yamal and Salah were among the top players, along with Raphinha of Barcelona, Kylian Mbappé of Real Madrid, and Cole Palmer of Chelsea. Ousmane Dembélé of Paris Saint-Germain defeated Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Vitinha, a colleague of Dembélé, to win the 2025 Men’s Ballon d’Or on Monday at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah finished fourth in the ultimate rankings and became the highest-ranking player in the Premier League.
“I’m speechless. With PSG, it was an amazing season. Even though this is an individual trophy, the team as a whole really took home the prize,” Dembélé stated following the prize ceremony.
In addition, PSG was named Club of the Year, while Luis Enrique, manager of the club, was named Men’s Coach of the Year. On the women’s team, Barcelona’s Aitana Bonmatí tied club legend Lionel Messi’s record by winning the Ballon d’Or for the third time in a row. She won the title by a slim margin over Alessia Russo and Mariona Caldentey.
