(The Post News) – Vodacom Bulls have tried to put out a strong side for their upcoming test. Boks loosehead Prop, Gerhardus Steenekamp is back from his knee injury, and he will be for Saturday’s United Rugby Championship (URC) match against the Ospreys at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria, while Willie le Roux is beached.
This will be the first real test of Coach Johan Ackermann‘s tenure as head coach since his appointment two months ago. His selection for this test includes Junior Springboks JJ Theron and Cheswill Jooste and well as captain Marcell Coetzee.
The team features a solid blend of seasoned players and fresh talent, all coming off an impressive pre-season at Currie Cup level. With Johan Goosen sidelined by injury, Keagan Johannes gets the chance compete for No.10 jersey, while Jan Serfontein makes his return to the Bulls after eight years, he rejoined the team from Montpellier, partnering with David Kriel in the Midfield.
