(The Post News)- American musician and composer Kanye West, commonly known by his stage name Ye, is currently offering pre-sale tickets on TicketPro for his upcoming performance in Johannesburg, South Africa.
On Saturday, December 13, Kanye is set to do a one-day show at Ellis Park Stadium. The performance is being organized by Monyake Group, a local live entertainment firm.
The starting price for tickets is R850, while luxury choices cost between R1,995 and R4,865. To acquire tickets during the pre-sale, fans had to register beforehand and obtain a special code through email. The pre-sale is only available for one day, and it ends at 9 p.m.
Complaints over the Monyake Group’s low public presence are raised by certain fans who are still doubtful amid the mounting excitement surrounding Ye’s return to South Africa. Particularly in view of recent musical controversies, there are persistent fears of a possible swindle.
Fans who purchased tickets from the cancelled Blue show continue to wait for reimbursements, and Burna Boy’s performance in South Africa was called off last year. Given that, most supporters are remaining vigilant while purchasing tickets. Due to continuing legal processes, the initial September 23 performance date of Kanye at FNB Stadium was rescheduled to December 16 before being cancelled.
The Monyake Group argued its qualifications in a prior discussion with Independent Media Lifestyle, pointing to years of involvement with live events that are placed around faith and gospel. The business said it was confident in its ability to conduct an event of this size.
According to a spokesman, “We possess a strong legacy in gospel and religious live entertainment. Kanye’s development as an artist, along with his vast body of work and impact, is in line with our goal of providing stadium-scale events that are both spiritually and culturally inspiring.”
