(The Post News) – Actress Nicole Kidman and country singer Keith Urban are calling it quits; the pair had been married for 19 years.
Sources close to the couple revealed that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have been living apart since June. Kidman is reportedly heartbroken, having fought to keep the marriage together. According to one source close to the Oscar-winning actress, she has been leaning on her sister for support and “didn’t want this,” PEOPLE reports.
Nicole,58, and Keith, 57, had met in 2005 and felt an instant attraction; however, it took Urban months to muster the courage to speak to Kidman. But once he did, he described the connection and conversations as “effortless”. The couple got married just a year later.
Early into their marriage, Kidman and her family supported Urban’s sober journey after years of heavy substance usage, a chapter the couple would often refer to as the darkest stage of their relationship. In 2008 had their first daughter and in 2010 they welcomed their second daughter via surrogacy.
The pair have not confirmed their separation, and according to their Instagrams, they are busy living their separate life. Nicole recently wrapped filming Practical Magic 2 in London, while Keith has just left the Canada stops of his High and Alive World Tour.
