(The Post News)- The South African Weather Service (Saws) has released its latest forecast for Wednesday, 08 October 2025 reporting partly cloudy weather conditions for most parts of the country also with isolated showers and thundershowers expected in several provinces.
According to Saws, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West, and the Western Cape will see scattered rainfall in the afternoon, while other regions will remain mostly dry with intervals of sunshine.
Reports indicate that no weather warnings alerts have been issued for Wednesday. The weather service has assured that conditions are expected to remain generally stable throughout the week.
Forecaster Confirms Cloudy Weathers
Residents in Gauteng can expect cold to warm weathers continuing into the weekend. Senior forecaster Tokelo Chiloane stated that the northern areas of the province are likely to experience afternoon showers and thunderstoms, while the southern parts will see partly cloudy skies.
“It will be partly cloudy some days, especially on Thursday and Friday in some parts of the province, not necessarily the entire province, and in terms of rainfall, we are looking at a 30-percent chance of afternoon showers and thundershowers for the rest of the week,” said Chiloane.
Vereeniging and surrounding areas could see isolated showers from Friday heading into the weekend.
Saws has encouraged residents to stay updated on local forecasts as the week progresses, especially those in areas expecting thunderstorms.
