The tournament will be held in 2027, 2028, and 2029 in the course of a planned five-year schedule to keep the southern titans competing at a high level internationally.
Traditional multi-week tours will resume in 2026 and 2030 as part of the August–September international window, together with the Championship, SANZAAR declared. With the Springboks anticipated to return for a trip of New Zealand in 2030, this arrangement paves the way for the All Blacks to travel to South Africa for three tests the following year.
Fans who have long expected the return of lengthy overseas series are excited about the announcement, even if both tours are still pending final confirmation. The previous time the All Blacks went on a full series tour of South Africa was in 1996, when they achieved their first-ever test series win on South African soil.
