(The Post News)- Orlando Police have launched a manhunt for five armed suspects after a brutal house robbery and rape incident that occurred in Orlando West on Friday night, 17 October 2025. Three of the men were armed, and all were allegedly wearing balaclavas when they stormed into a yard where several occupants were inside, say the police.
Reports indicate that the suspects forced entry into the house and robbed the victims of their cell phones and other personal belongings. “During the attack, two of the suspects allegedly broke into one of the bedrooms, where they took turns raping a young woman,” said the police. The suspects then assaulted and stabbed a tenant on the arm when he screamed for help.
According to the Orlando police, the suspects then stole his two cell phones and car keys before fleeing the scene in an unknown car after being disturbed by a family member who managed to alert the community.
Orlando Police Open a Rape, House Robbery, and Assault Case
Preliminary reports reveal that the provincial forensic experts attended the scene, collected evidence, and obtained fingerprints. “No shots were fired during the incident, and police have confirmed that the victims may be able to identify the attackers if seen again. The rape survivor was taken to a medical facility for treatment and trauma support,” stated the police.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) has opened cases of house robbery, rape, and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and investigations are continuing.
