(The Post News)– Bongekile Simelane, famously known as Babes Wodumo—the Gqom queen of Mzansi—has once again displayed her sincere and kind nature after sharing a heartfelt moment with a loyal fan.
Babes Wodumo shared a video of herself comforting a distraught fan, who was in disbelief after seeing Babes Wodumo in person for the first time. The video was shared on Instagram and soon went viral, getting reactions from some South African social media users.
The ‘Wololo’ hitmaker also expressed gratitude over the support she has been receiving following the death of her husband and music partner, Mandla ‘Mampintsha’ Maphumulo. She has mostly been out of the public eye since his death, concentrating on regaining her strength and bonding with her fans.
As she makes a comeback to the music industry, she disclosed that the relationship with her fans has provided her with solace and inspiration. Meanwhile, in the heart-warming video, the fan is seen trying to kiss and stroke Babes’ feet out of sheer passion. However, she politely declined the gesture several times, embracing the fan with a warm hug instead.
Babes called the experience “special” and said that she is reminded of why she keeps doing music by such occasions. She went on to say that because her fans like her for her unvarnished nature, honesty, and authenticity, they are like family to her.
Babes Wodumo Touches on an Upcoming Album
Babes Wodumo clarified that the endeavour has great personal significance as she gets ready for the release of her much-awaited album, Mabheshingo. It honours her late husband’s memories while also commemorating her admirers’ steadfast love and devotion. She thanked them for supporting her when she was unable to advocate for herself and for giving her the freedom to grieve without fear of condemnation.
She emphasized that Mabheshingo is a symbol of both healing and rebirth in her caption, writing, “This album is for everyone who stood by me.” Babes Wodumo sees her return as more than simply a chance to perform again; it’s a symbol of her tenacity, faith, and the strong connection that exists between an artist and her fans.
Through her heartfelt message, Babes reminded Mzansi of the reasons she still has a special place in many people’s hearts: her love for her fans, her openness, and her vulnerability are still powerful.
