She added that the team will continue to wear the Sasol logo on their training and travel kits as they prepare for upcoming challenges, including the 2026 WAFCON in Morocco and qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
Monyepao also highlighted that the renewal reflects the confidence corporate South Africa has in football’s ability to connect with people across the country. “We are thrilled that Sasol has renewed its partnership with Banyana Banyana, continuing to build on a legacy that promotes and grows women’s football until 2029,” Monyepao said.
Sasol’s Senior Vice President for Corporate Affairs, Grace Nndwammbi, also shared the excitement, saying the company is proud to continue empowering women through sport. “Football remains the biggest sport in South Africa, loved equally by men and women, and partnerships like these show the value of investing in SAFA’s properties,” she said.
Since joining forces with SAFA in 2009, Sasol’s support has coincided with some of Banyana Banyana’s most historic moments, from multiple COSAFA Cup victories and two Olympic qualifications to their debut at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, a memorable run to the knockout stage in 2023, and their first-ever WAFCON title in 2022. These milestones have firmly cemented Banyana Banyana’s place in South African sporting history.
