Reports indicate that KZN is forecast to experience cloudy weather with showers and thunderstorms, and temperatures are expected to drop significantly in the southwest. The weather service has issued two yellow level 1 warnings for the province. “The first warning covers the north-eastern parts of KZN, where disruptive rainfall could cause localised flooding in vulnerable formal and informal settlements, as well as roads, low-lying areas, and bridges along the coast and adjacent interior,” SAWS stated.
Authorities are urging motorists and residents to stay alert for rapidly changing weather conditions, avoid unnecessary travel during storms, and secure outdoor items that could be damaged or blown away by strong winds.
