(The Post News) – Somizi Mhlongo, a well-known figure in the media, is pleased to have finished his education at the Villioti Fashion Institute.
The Metro FM host commemorated the achievement on Instagram by posting images and a sincere statement expressing gratitude to everyone who helped him along the way. Mhlongo, who attended the school part-time, has been open and honest with his fans about his interest in fashion design.
Fans and friends showered him with congratulations in his remarks. He was commended by multi-platinum-selling musician Vusi Nova, who wrote, “Milestone! You’ve constantly pushed limits, so admiration. You are whoever you are. You will undoubtedly continue to develop yourself and motivate others. Well done.”
The founder of Somphire made news in September when he put on a memorable, star-studded spectacle to close the 2025 Durban Fashion Fair. The Real Housewives of Durban star Sorisha Naidoo, beauty influencer Mihlali Ndamase, DJ and socialite Sithelo Shozi, and Mhlongo’s daughter Bahumi Mhlongo were among Mzansi’s favorite celebs who walked the runway.
Mhlongo’s fashion empire is still expanding steadily. He has already made a significant advancement in his developing design profession by dressing his daughter, the renowned musician Judith Sephuma.
