(The Post News)- Award-winning gospel musician Xolly Mncwango has made a daring move toward social impact by officially founding the Xolly Mncwango Foundation, an endeavour aimed at uplifting underprivileged communities and encouraging individuals to dream big.
The foundation’s first event was a Breast Cancer Awareness Brunch at Universal Music Group, when attendees showed support for the worldwide battle against breast cancer by dressing in pink Unusual Merch clothing. Survivors, medical experts, and supporters came together for a meaningful day of education, healing, and motivation.
While medical professionals, including Dr. Nthabiseng Makgana, CEO of Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, gave important advice about prevention, early detection, and the life-saving power of awareness, the room was filled with emotion as survivors told intensely personal tales of perseverance.
Speaking to the crowd, Mncwango passionately explained the purpose of her foundation, which is to bring about significant change via empowerment, education, and faith-based projects.
“This is a purpose in motion, not a charity,” she said. “With faith, support, and opportunity, we are here to empower people, educate communities, and restore dignity.”
The Xolly Mncwango Foundation aims to sow the seeds of hope and transformation throughout South Africa via initiatives centered on health, mental wellness, education, and community development, building not only healthier individuals but also a country rooted in compassion and opportunity.
