Harper’s Bazaar Awards Celebrate Female Excellence in Arts

(The Post News)- The annual Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards drew some of the biggest stars. These stars were from music, movies, and sports. These stars gathered at London’s Claridge’s Hotel on Thursday night.

Stars including Gillian Anderson, Chloe Kelly, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie attended the glamorous event. Singer Jade was one of the winners of the evening. She became well-known with Little Mix before beginning her solo career. For Jade, receiving the Musician of the Year Award from Cheryl was very significant. She has long admired her fellow Northeastlocal.

Jade thought back on the achievement. She remarked that it felt very personal. Cheryl had been a major source of inspiration for her during her time in Little Mix and X Factor. Her joyful memories of taking photos of Cheryl at the salon made the award ceremony much more memorable. As a teenager, she requested to look exactly like Cheryl.

The award ceremony honors other performers.

Excellence in several professions was also honored that evening. Owen Cooper, Erin Doherty’s co-star, gave her the Performance of the Year Award. He praised her compelling performance in Netflix’s popular drama Adolescence. He commended her for bringing such strength and genuineness to the screen.

Aimee Lou Wood received her prize for The White Lotus from Doctor Who actor Ncuti Gatwa. He lightened the occasion by reciting her full astrological chart. He stated that her genius was “written in the stars.”

Barbie star America Ferrera presented the Cultural Icon Award to Reese Witherspoon. In her moving statement, Witherspoon discussed how she started Hello Sunshine. It is a production business created to tell tales that Hollywood has long ignored. She stated that she wanted to make room for voices akin to her own.

Rosamund Pike received the Theatre Award from theater veteran Celia Imrie for her outstanding performance in the National Theatre’s Inter Alia. Imrie’s joke about revealing the winner of Celebrity Traitors added humor to an evening full of celebration, inspiration, and sisterhood.
