(The Post News)- Limpopo artist Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, known by Shebeshxt, was arrested on Wednesday, 12 November 2025. During an intelligence-driven police operation in the affluent suburb of Bendor, just outside Polokwane.
The 30-year-old rapper was taken into custody in a coordinated effort between the Provincial Investigation Unit and the PTT. Police confirmed that the arrest was executed under an order related to a case involving two counts of attempted murder registered at Westernburg
Police Spokesperson Confirms Shebeshxt Arrest
Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba reported that arrest stems from a violent confrontation that occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 19 October 2025 in Ladanna

“It is alleged that the suspect had a confrontation with another motorist. During which he fired several shots at another vehicle. Injuring a 34-year-old male occupant, who was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries,” said Ledwaba.
The case was later transferred to the Provincial Investigation Unit for further investigation. Ledwaba said detectives successfully obtained an order of arrest on Tuesday, 11 November 2025. Leading to the musician’s apprehension the next morning.

Limpopo police commissioner Lieutenant-General Thembi Hadebe praised the swift work of the investigation and operational teams.
“We are taking this matter very seriously. A dedicated team was appointed to guarantee that no stone is left un-turned. The South African Police Service reiterates that no one is above the law, regardless of their social standing,” Hadebe said.
Shebeshxt has often made headlines for his controversial behavior both on and off stage. He is expected to before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 13 November 2025. He will face charges of attempted murder.
