Mabaso, affectionately known as “Touch,” has been a standout performer in the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) reserve league, showcasing his exceptional left-footed skills.

Mabaso’s impressive form earned him a spot with the senior team, following his participation in pre-season training in the Netherlands and Johannesburg. He recently captained the reserve team on a UK tour, scoring goals against Manchester United and Leeds United reserves.

Mabaso joins a growing list of academy graduates promoted to the senior squad, including Mduduzi Shabalala, Wandile Duba, and Naledi Hlongwane. This move reinforces Kaizer Chiefs‘ commitment to nurturing local talent.
