(The Post News)- Ruben Amorim accepts responsibility for United’s problems. Amorim acknowledged that everything is hard for his struggling team and accepted responsibility for Manchester United’s crushing 3-0 home loss to Bournemouth.
Amorim’s team was jeered after a terrible performance that left them in 13th place, just seven days after their historic comeback victory at Manchester City.
As Amorim deals with a fourth loss in his nine games across all competitions since taking over for the fired Erik ten Hag, United will spend Christmas in the bottom half of the table for the first time since 1989. United’s weakness was set pieces once more, as Dean Huijsen’s header from a free kick in the first half initiated the startling collapse.
Amorim stated on a post match interview that without conceding nothing to the opponent, then one set-piece makes them more nervous, and all the stadium. He said that he sensed a lot of anxiousness from the very first minute.
That’s somewhat disheartening, but it’s reasonable given the circumstances. Ahead of the Boxing Day trip to lowly Wolves, Amorim is aware that United is in a difficult moment due to his leaking defense. He was in the middle of addressing reporters that it was his responsibility to coach the players. When a leak from the media room ceiling interrupted his press conference.
