(The Post News)– Adnan Beganovic, the coach of TS Galaxy, has spoken out about how his team defeated Mamelodi Sundowns, the leaders in the log, in Tuesday night’s Betway Premiership game at their home stadium in Mbombela, Mpumalanga.
Beganovic said that the Rockets deserved to win the game after Kamogelo Sebelebele scored the game’s lone goal in their 1-0 triumph over the Brazilians. Beganovic’s team dropped to fourth spot in the log standings after Galaxy’s victory. “How we prepared our guys in the final days of February is what matters most,” Beganovic said.
He further said, “We practiced our tactics and style of play with these players, and after we scored, we all celebrated the three points. Although I think this is a fantastic feeling, I would like to emphasise that the players deserve all the glory since without them, I am nothing and am unable to accomplish anything.”
The Rockets coach emphasised that they changed everything in the last five games, and he is really happy with what they accomplished. He can add that TS Galaxy deserved to win this game against Mamelodi Sundowns and that they should celebrate the win, since they are currently in fourth place in the log table.
Galaxy have now won 13 straight games across all competitions. Since Beganovic replaced Sead Ramovic, the Mpumalanga-based team has won seven of their last thirteen games and drawn six. “I can say that because we haven’t lost in 13 games, my vision is based on how we prepare for the games. After that, it’s all up to us, how we work, and how we do everything. I can then be delighted because this group of players accepts our changes and all we offer to the squad.,” Beganovic added.
“In addition to being ecstatic, I also want to express my humility on our performance tonight. I believe I can rejoice tonight (Tuesday), but we have to get ready for the Nedbank Cup tomorrow (Wednesday), and we want to push even harder,” concluded the coach. The Rockets’ next game is scheduled for Friday at Chatsworth Stadium against Durban City in the Nedbank Cup round of 16.
