In a recent video message Zelensky stated, “We are carrying out active operations in the border areas on the enemy’s side, and that is absolutely fair—war should return to where it originated.” These are the first public confirmations of Ukrainian forces fighting outside of the nation’s borders, as they also have troops present in Russia’s border Kursk province.
