Delacour & Krauter Shine at 2025 Investec SA Women’s Open

(The Post News)– France’s Perrine Delacour and Germany’s Aline Krauter set the pace at the Investec South African Women’s Open, each carding a brilliant seven-under-par 65 to lead the pack on Thursday in Somerset West.

The scenic Erinvale Country & Golf Estate seemed to inspire greatness, with both Delacour and Krauter playing composed rounds in mild conditions. Delacour, who teed off from the 10th, came alive on her second nine, firing two birdies and an eagle in her first four holes after the turn—without a single dropped shot.

She admitted the breathtaking views helped her stay calm, saying she’s learning to let go of perfection and trust her process. Meanwhile, Krauter matched her pace with a consistent round that included three birdies before the turn and two more to close. She noted the calm weather gave her a good opportunity to go low—and she made the most of it.

South African amateur Gia Raad impressed with a five-under 67, while Namibia’s Bonita Bredenhann celebrated a hole-in-one on the 14th. With 15 players within three shots, the race is wide open heading into day two.
