Following the Authorities’ call for help in hunting 2 additional suspects in connection with the disappearance case of Sibusiso Aserie Ndlovu and his partner, three more suspects have been arrested in the early hours of Tuesday, 13 May 2025. The arrest was carried out in Nokaneng near the Rust de Winter area, close to where the police had found remains of two persons believed to be the couple.
Sibusiso Aserie Ndlovu, together with his partner, went missing on the 18th of February 2025 and was last seen with one of the suspects in connection with the case, who is also one of his employees. Remains of two persons were discovered last week in Limpopo, and the Police have initiated DNA processes since. Investigations remain ongoingAmidst awaiting the DNA results of the remains discovered last week, the police are relieved to have made more arrests this morning, bringing the total arrests to 8.
Provincial commissioner of police in Mpumalanga, Zeph Mkhwanazi, says the development represents a significant breakthrough for authorities and that they are using all resources available to them to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of the couple earlier this year. They remain encouraged by the positive results of the ongoing investigation.
National commissioner Fannie Masemola also commented on the progress of the investigation, praising the work of the investigating officers handling the case and the public who helped trace the suspects. He says, “We thank the people of South Africa, particularly Mpumalanga, who have assisted our investigating team in tracing these suspects.”
