(The Post News)- A tragic incident occurred in the Northern part of KwaZulu-Natal, where a teenage girl lost her life after being electrocuted while attempting to steal oranges from a property. According to reports, the teenager was accompanied by other teenagers who fled the scene and reported the incident.
The source, Mr. Manqele, stated that an electric rope was situated next to the orange tree, and unfortunately, the teenager came into contact with it, resulting in her death on the spot. The deceased was identified as a grade 8 student at Hambisanani High School.
The KwaZulu-Natal police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. The community is in shock, and authorities are urging parents and guardians to counsel their children about the dangers of trespassing and theft.
