(The Post News)– Sean “Diddy” Combs faces even more incriminating evidence in his ongoing trial as Eddy Garcia, a hotel security worker, testifies that he paid him $100,000 in attempts to bury the video evidence of him beating his ex-girlfriend and pop star, Cassie Ventura, in a hotel corridor back in 2016.
Earlier in the trial, Cassie took the stand and recounted how Diddy assaulted her when she tried to make a run from his notorious “freak-off” parties. She alleged that Diddy went after her, and just as she reached the elevator doors, he “threw her to the ground” and proceeded to “kick” her and made attempts to “drag her back” into the hotel room.
On Tuesday, the 3rd of June, Garcia took the stand and alleged that he was informed of the altercation between the two shortly after he arrived at his workplace at the InterContinental Hotel. He claims that he received calls from Kristina Khorram, Diddy’s assistant at the time, who tried to gain access to the video footage.
After what he says was a ‘winding conversation’, Garcia agreed to release the footage to him in exchange for a total of $100,000, which he says was in “stacks of $10,000”. Garcia also alleged that Diddy FaceTimed Cassie to convince him that there was a mutual agreement in covering the incriminating evidence.
He recalls Cassi wearing a hoodie during the FaceTime call and Diddy demanding that she let him know that she wanted “this to go away”. In response, Cassie told Garcia that the video coming out would not look good, as she had a film that was about to be released. After the call, Diddy then had Garcia sign a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) and demanded that he hand over his ID.
Diddy’s $100,000 cover-up: trial unveils shocking attempt to hide damaging domestic violence video. Government officials have depicted Diddy’s payment to Garcia as an attempt at bribery.
Although Diddy’s legal team acknowledged the video evidence as domestic violence, they maintain that Cassie voluntarily participated in the “freak offs”.
