(The Post) Lucas Rebeiro Costa “Speedpoint” takes Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club to FIFA Football Tribunal. This follows his resignation from the club, reportedly handed earlier this August 1.
Rebeiro’s resignation comes with claims that Sundowns sabotages his career. This comes after Qatar SC and Fluminense shown interest in Ribeiro.
According to iDiski Times, he stated “I believe that I have to terminate my contract with Mamelodi Sundowns FC, which I will explain before the FIFA Football Tribunal.”
In addition, this Brazilian-born Sundowns player is represented by the Dupont-Hissel law firm. They will be arguing for player’s rights to free movement.
This case is ruled in the Lassana Diarra ruling. A ruling amended in light of Diarra Judgement.
According to Rebeiro his future employer is waiting for transfer certificate. Despite Rebeiro’s steller performance in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
Winning the PSL Footballer of the season. Sundowns allegedly blocks him to move to clubs of interest.
