(The Post News) – Build One South Africa (BOSA) leader Mmusi Maimane and Gauteng Premier Candidate Nobuntu Hlazo-Webster announced on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, that seven alliance partners have joined forces with BOSA. This announcement took place outside the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) in Centurion, Pretoria.
Seven national and local political parties across South Africa have joined forces with BOSA. Together, they will campaign alongside the party in the upcoming national and provincial elections on May 29, 2024.
These parties include Mopani Independent Movement (MIM), Lentswe La Batho (LLB), Abantu Integrity Movement (AIM), Moretele Independent Civic Organization (MICO), New Horizon Movement, and Movement of the People as well as African Change Academy (ACA).

Seven parties joined forces to ally with BOSA revealed
“We can today announce the first seven parties who will form part of the BOSA alliance, a broad collective of political parties and civil society organisations committed to fostering significant political change in South Africa,” stated Mmusi Maimane, leader of BOSA.
Maimane explained that this decision was aimed at positioning BOSA as the frontrunner in the upcoming elections. “We understand that no single party can adequately represent the diverse communities across our nation in parliament. It will require smaller community-based groups to unite under a single umbrella organization,” said Maimane.
These parties have collectively decided not to run independently in the elections. Instead, they will unite under the banner of BOSA. “Only BOSA will appear on the ballot, with all parties campaigning for BOSA and its candidates,” said Maimane. “In exchange, BOSA has welcomed leaders from other parties as candidates or into leadership roles within the party.”
He added that the alliance does not end with this year’s National and Provincial elections but it was founded with the 2026 Local Government Elections in mind. “Parties to the alliance who choose to run in their regions in 2026, will have the benefit of BOSA campaigning for their organisations in that election,” Maimane said.
Thabo Diseko, the leader of LLB, highlighted the significance of unity in the upcoming elections. “We must come together, which is why we’re collaborating with BOSA to secure their victory,” he stated. “Having representatives in both provincial legislatures and the national parliament ensures that the voices of our people are heard.”
