(The Post News) – The South African Minister of Home Affairs, Aaron Mostoaledi, is currently dealing with death threats. Someone who was paid to kill him contacted him and made it clear that his life was in danger. A case involving extortion or blackmail was reported to the local police station in Pretoria, specifically the Brooklyn Police Station.
Motsoaledi, known for his stringent immigration policies and vocal stance on domestic security, has become the focus of targeting. After receiving direct calls and threats from an assassin hired to kill him, the minister quickly reported the matter to the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks). While the precise nature of the threats does not presently require a substantial increase in the minister’s security, various intelligence agencies are collaborating to identify the source of these threats against Motsoaledi.
The minister mentioned that there was supposedly a R40,000 placed on his life. The task only needed to be carried out, and additional payments of R60,000 were supposed to be made. The minister said, “He claimed to have already received payment. However, if I were to pay him more, he would eliminate those who ordered the hit instead of targeting me.”
There is currently no clear evidence regarding the motives behind the death threats directed towards Mostoaledi. However, investigations are being conducted to ascertain the reasons. Some members of the public speculate that Mostoaledi’s policies might have angered corrupt syndicates and individuals involved in criminal activities within the department, thus provoking potential death threats.
Investigations are underway regarding the troubling situation that Mostoaledi finds himself in. Despite these circumstances, he remains committed to his duties as the Minister of Home Affairs and has bolstered his security measures to ensure that his responsibilities are not compromised by any threats.
