(The Post News) – News of Cardi B’s pregnancy has been overshadowed by a lawsuit alleging that her boyfriend, NFL star Steffon Diggs, fathered a 5-month-old.
A day after the popular rapper confirmed on Gayle King’s CBS Mornings that she was expecting her fourth baby with her boyfriend Steffon Diggs, a lawsuit against the NFL player has been making headlines. According to documents filed last year but obtained on 18 September, model Aileen Lopera alleges that the wide receiver had fathered her daughter, who was born in April.
Diggs and Cardi B Revealed Relationship in October 2024
For weeks, social media had been speculating that the newly estranged mom of three was sporting a baby bump while attending a court case despite her short relationship with Diggs. The couple was first seen together in October of last year, and many fans had supported the freshly single rapper, as she had been vocal about her struggles in her relationship with the father of her three children, Offset.
Upon speculations of her pregnancy, Cardi faced scrutiny from disappointed fans who felt the pregnancy would get in the way of a tour. She also faced further questions on who the father could be, which she clarified on the morning show.
Cardi released a video reassuring fans that as soon as she gives birth, she will go back to preparing for the February tour for her album Am I The Drama?. This is the award-winning rapper’s second album since Invasion of Privacy, which was released close to a decade ago.
The news has started a new wave of headlines sure to bring on a wave of social media scrutiny, which has begun on X. One X user, @Real_Finesse, posted, “Stefon Diggs’ daughter is 6 months old, and Cardi’s baby, I think, is 10 months old 😭. These mfs are living life on the edge, you hear me. And she is still married. This shit is going to hit the fan and not end well.”
