(The Post New) – Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that head coach Nasreddine Nabi is currently not with the team, as talks between the Tunisian tactician, Narredine Nabi and the club continue.
In a statement released on Thursday, Amakhosi stressed that the matter is internal in nature and is being handled through the appropriate processes.
“Kaizer Chiefs confirms that Head Coach Nasreddine Nabi is currently not with the team as discussions between the Club and the Coach remain ongoing. The matter is internal in nature and is being addressed through the appropriate processes,” stated the statement
The Soweto giants further assured fans that their focus remains on stability and continuity for both the players and supporters during this uncertain period.
Reports earlier this week suggested that Chiefs had parted ways with Nabi due to complications around his CAF coaching qualifications, which prevent him from sitting on the bench during inter-club competitions. However, the club has not confirmed his departure and maintains that discussions are ongoing.
The Glamour Boys concluded by thanking their supporters and the wider football community for their patience and understanding, adding that official updates will be provided in due course. As Nabi is confirmed to be out of the club, the story is still developing and the team is preparing for CAF Confederations set to unfold in Angola this Saturday.
